5 Spooky Fun Halloween Treats

Not only is Halloween a great excuse to devour all of your favorite candy, but it’s also the perfect time to make some fun and spooky Halloween treats! From ghost truffles to black cat cupcakes, these recipes will equip you with delicious delights for any Halloween bash.

1) Halloween Mocha Cupcakes

Fit for any Halloween festivities, these mocha cupcakes are fun and delicious. The moist cupcakes have the perfect chocolate flavor with a hint of coffee. For the decorations, you can melt chocolate chips and create designs like tombstones and spooky trees on parchment paper. Be sure to have Dutch cocoa powder on-hand for dusting the cupcakes. You can also decorate them with some Halloween jelly beans or gummy pumpkins.

2) Ghost Truffles {Gluten-Free, Vegan}

For a healthy Halloween treat, these adorable ghost truffles are made with real, all natural ingredients. The inside is made from a delicious mixture of pecans, cacao paste, coconut butter and honey. They’re rolled in shredded coconut for that adorable ghost look, and they have chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth. You’ll love biting into these nutty chocolate delights, and the best part is they’re great for paleo, gluten-free and vegan diets.

3) Monster Pudding Cups

This is a fun and unique recipe that the kids will love to help make. For these mini Frankensteins, prepare green-colored pudding in flavors such as pistachio or lime. Alternatively, you can use vanilla flavored pudding and green food coloring. Pour the pudding into clear plastic cups and top it off with crushed hydrox cookies. Draw on a scary face and stick black sixlets or M&M’s on the side for Frankenstein’s bolts.

4) Pumpkin Popcorn Balls

We love these pumpkin popcorn balls because they’re super easy and such a festive fall treat. It’s simple to prepare the main ingredient (popcorn) and you can also get everything else ready in the microwave – no stovetop or oven required. Once you’ve rounded the popcorn into pumpkins, you can add a Tootsie roll for the stem, and shape the leaf from green taffy-like candy such as Laffy Taffy or green apple frooties.

5) Black Cat Cupcakes

These adorable black cat cupcakes are almost too cute to eat. To begin, simply prepare your favorite chocolate cupcake recipe; we like to use our gluten-free chocolate cupcake mix. Frost the cupcakes with dark chocolate frosting and then it’s time for the fun part: decorations! Our Halloween jelly beans will give you plenty of black and yellow jelly beans to use for the eyes and nose. Cut up Oreo cookies for the ears, and black licorice laces for the whiskers. These yummy cupcakes will be a hit at any Halloween celebration!
