“Fall” in Love with These Fall Foods

With more than 3,000 products on our website, there are a lot of goodies to try!

That’s why we decided to take a look at the fall foods our customers (that’s you!) enjoy the most. As it turns out, there are a whole lot of health nuts among us. These top five tasty picks are versatile and nutrient-dense foods including chia seeds, almond flour, goji berries, coconut flour, and spirulina. Let’s take a closer look at why our customers have been “fall”-ing in love with them this season.

1) Chia Seeds

The benefits of chia seeds prove just how mighty such a tiny seed seed can be. Chia seeds can reduce food cravings and control blood sugar levels, making them a great choice for anyone trying to lose weight or watch their sugar intake. They’re also rich in Omega-3’s, the essential fatty acids that protect against inflammation. Enjoy them in chia seed pudding, fruit drinks, or even raw!

2) Almond Flour

As a low-carb and gluten-free alternative to standard wheat flour, our customers just love baking delicious treats with our almond flour. It has a mild, nutty taste that blends well with other foods, and packs the same rich nutrient sources of almonds, such as protein, calcium, iron, and dietary fiber. There is no shortage of uses for this versatile flour in baking and cooking – we even have a collection of scrumptious almond flour recipes right on our site!

3) Goji Berries

When you go-go-go-goji, there’s no turning back! Known as the fruit of immortality in Chinese mythology, today goji berries are considered one of the world’s most powerful anti-aging foods because of their high antioxidant levels. Adding a handful of these mildly sweet and tangy goji berries to your cereal, yogurt, or trail mix, can also give your immune system a healthy boost because they’re loaded with Vitamins A and C.

4) Organic Coconut Flour

Boasting a higher fiber content than any other flour, our organic coconut flour is a popular choice for those trying to lose weight. As a certified gluten-free baking option, coconut flour is made of finely ground, dried coconut meat, and has a mildly sweet taste from natural sugars. Using this nutritional flour will have you turning out baked goods that our light and soft, but rich in texture, like this recipe for banana coconut flour muffins.

5) Spirulina

Ask anyone that has witnessed the superpowers of spirulina, and they will tell you its’ “superpowDer” title isn’t meant to be taken lightly. Spirulina has a whole lot of “super” to go around – it’s a complete protein containing all 9 essential amino acids, and oodles of nutrients such as vitamins A through E, iron, potassium, protein, calcium and antioxidants.  It’s easy to gain a major health boost by adding a teaspoon of spirulina to liquids, smoothies, salad dressings, or whatever else your heart desires!
