Say Hello to Our New Health Nut!

With more than 2,500 different products, we know that many of our customers and visitors to our site have questions about nutrition, trying out new snacks, and healthy diets. That’s why we’re excited to welcome Molly Morgan, Registered Dietitian (RD), as our new Health Nut!Molly is the founder of Creative Nutrition Solutions and author of The Skinny Rules, and provides nutritional advice to organizations such as The Ottawa Senators, Oswego County Schools, and Healthy Life Magazine, among others.  She is an appointed member of the American Dietetic Association Consumer Health Informatics Workgroup and a media representative of the New York State Dietetic Association.You might have seen Molly’s work on CNN or in Fitness, Men’s Health, Readers’ Digest, SELF, Shape, and Women’s Health, among other media outlets.  Molly is also a mom to two sons.Molly will be contributing a regular column to our blog, developing nutritious recipes for our readers, and answering customer and visitor questions on our blog and at virtual events.If you have a question for Molly, please send it to health@nuts.com.  If we feature your question in a Q&A post with Molly, we will also send you a pound of your favorite Nuts.com product!

    Later this year I’m going for a gastric by-pass, and it feels like for as much as I’ve learned I still have a mountain of questions. I have one that I’ve been scratching my head over for a while. Is there a nut mix or nut or other item I can include or use to boost my protein intake? I know some nuts contain protein, but should I avoid or focus on some rather than others?

    Betsey,
    PLEASE do NOT do the gastric bypass.
    I know of three people that have done it and have talked with them about their experiences…
    For the first year, You will be eating very small amounts because You will fill up very quickly.
    After a year, You will grow impatient with eating small amounts and will go back to eating large volumes of food and will gain much of the weight back.

    THE ONLY way to a HEALTHIER You is to go on a RAW Food diet for 45 days.
    This will eliminate the Candida Overgrowth within and also teach You to recognize the FULL Feeling that You have disregarded for the past XX years.

    NO SUGAR
    NO FLOUR
