Cooking With Georgia Pecans
As soon as we entered Novem ber, our thoughts turned to the sweet, warm baked goods that always seem to find their way onto our Thanksgiving dessert tables. And the star of these desserts is usually Georgia pecans, so it seems fitting that November happens to be Georgia Pecan Month.
Our Georgia pecans are perfect for all your homemade holiday treats. Best of all, their benefits temper the guilt of munching on so many delicious sweets (at least, they do for us)! The plant sterols and healthy fat in pecans can help lower your cholesterol and reduce your risk of heart disease. The powerful nuts are also packed with zinc, vitamin E and vitamin A.
Besides our classic raw pecans, we also offer sweet paper shell pecans, and both salted and unsalted roasted pecans. All are fresh from the great state of Georgia and ready for inclusion in your favorite recipes.
It’s tough to select just a few of our favorite holiday desserts, but we’d say that several of our pecan-laden specialties top the list. Pecan pie always finds its way onto our holiday menu, whether homemade or a batch of Oh My! Pecan Pies from our warehouse. We also love to whip up batches of chocolate-covered turtles to share with friends and family. And, of course, no dessert table would be complete with a platter of homemade pralines.
What are some of your favorite desserts or dishes that contain pecans?

I’m going to use them in a Cranberry, Toasted Pecan & Caramel Tart that I’m making for Thanksgiving!
