5 Recipes for Paleo Desserts

The paleo diet is all the rage right now, so we have rounded up some of our favorite desserts for those who are following it. The paleo diet focuses on eating as our hunter-gatherer ancestors did, which means grass-produced meats, fish/seafood, nuts and seeds, eggs, and fresh fruit and veggies. You might think that it’s hard to satisfy a sweet tooth on this diet, but that’s not so! Here are five great recipes for paleo desserts.

1. “Reese’s” Cheesecake

When you’re on the paleo diet, you have to get a little creative, which is what this blogger did. She made the crust, filling, and toppings for the cheesecake all from paleo-friendly ingredients. For this recipe, you’ll need ingredients like almond butter, pink Himalayan salt, raw cashews, pure maple syrup, and sun butter cups.

2. Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread

This delicious chocolate chip zucchini bread is perfect as a dessert or a breakfast food! Here are some of the components you’ll need: almond flour, cacao powder, zucchini, eggs, honey, and dark chocolate chips. Yum!

3. Key Lime Muffincakes

This blogger combined the texture of a muffin with the frosting of a cupcake to make her key lime muffincakes. Sounds like a great idea to us! Here are a few of the components you’ll need for this recipe: coconut flour, almond floursea salt, and raw honey.

4. Apple Pie Balls

These apple pie balls are stay stable at room temperature, which makes them perfect for a school snack for your kids or even a travel snack for your next road trip. Even better, this recipe only calls for five ingredients: cinnamon apple chips, cinnamon apple rings, coconut flakes, medjool dates, and raisins.

5. Chocolate Orange Naked Bars

Need an on-the-go snack? Make these chocolate orange bars ahead of time! This is what you’ll need: nuts (this blogger used almonds and macadamia nuts), medjool dates, cocoa powder, an orange, and sea salt. It only takes 15 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to bake, so get to it!
