4 Tasty and Healthy School Snacks

We’re gearing up for back-to-school season here at Nuts.com, and we bet you are, too! Here are some of our favorite healthy school snacks to try. Send any of these yummy snacks to school with your kids to guarantee a nutritious and filling refreshment. (Or, if these snacks are too good for you to part with, munch on them yourself!)

 1. Dried Fruit

Here’s a snack to soothe that sweet tooth: dried fruit! We have every type of dried fruit you could ever hope for, and many of them have no added sugar, like our dried strawberries. If you prefer organic dried fruit, such as our organic dried bananas, we have a vast selection for you to choose from. If you want a little crunch to these sweet snacks, try our freeze-dried fruits, especially our freeze-dried fruit cocktail, which includes bananas, peaches, pears, strawberries, and grapes.

 2. Granola

Granola is another snack that tastes great and is packed with good-for-you vitamins. Since we have such an extensive variety, it’s all about picking the type of granola you or your kids will like best. Check out our cherry almond granola, organic hemp and flax granola, organic apple raisin granola, and our save the forest granola (a portion of all sales of this product goes to help protect the world’s forest environment).

 3. Kale Chips

We can’t say enough about our delicious kale chips! See if you can get your kids to look past the green color and give this super-snack a shot. Try swapping out their favorite flavor of potato chips for a kale chip equivalent; for example, salt and vinegar for sea salt and vinegar kale chips or Doritos Cool Ranch for Bombay ranch kale chips.

  4. Veggie Chips

If you’re having a hard time getting your kids to eat veggies, try packing them one of our varieties of veggie chips. With flavors like hot pepper veggie chips, BBQ veggie chips, and wasabi veggie chips, vegetables have truly never tasted so good. We even carry individual types of veggie chips, such as our carrot chips, green bean chips, and okra chips.

Let us know which of these healthy school snacks are a hit with your kids!
